Thunder Communications, Emergency Response
Thunder Communications specializes in providing backup and emergency communications infrastructure utilizing fixed and mobile assets for Emergency Management agencies designed for use in the event of a catastrophic failure of primary communication systems including data, voice, radio, and cellular.
Our mobile communication solutions provide radio interoperability during missions requiring communications between diverse organizations using different radios and different frequencies. Utilizing new satellite technology in a way that enables communications radios to be interconnected across the room or around the world.
An entire backup communication network can be built to utilize existing land mobile radios to cover a large geographic area and does not require and terrestrial infrastructure after a catastrophic failure of the primary systems.
By partnering with network and communication industry leaders in service and manufacturing, Thunder Communications has at its disposal the capability to design and implement "broad reach" communications systems. Working with the agencies disaster recovery plan, we can consult on and design systems that will reach out from the command center all the way through to the individual first responders during a complete outage of the primary communication systems.
To support this broad reach emergency communications infrastructure, Thunder Communications manufactures a line of small and medium size communications trailers designed to provide self sustaining integrated voice, data and radio solutions to service regional or area emergency management operations managers.
While Thunder Communications has only been in the disaster recovery space since early 1995, the company has been in business since 1996 as a Enterprise Network Communications solution provider. Our experience not only with satellite communications but with network design and implementation creates the perfect match of skills with both voice and data communication.
